Pak-China Agreement- Work On ML-1 Karachi-Peshawar Railway To Accelerate
A meeting was held between the two parties to assess the growth of the decisions made during the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China.
The meeting was co-chaired by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CPEC Affairs Khalid Mansoor and Director-General NDRC.
The Director-General NDRC said that the involved Chinese organizations are taking steps towards implementing the conclusions reached during the PM’s visit. He further stated that many meetings were held to discuss the execution of the first phase of the plan.
It was concluded during the meeting that the Pakistan Railways will contact the National Railway Administrations (NEA) on an immediate basis, for the working of project particulars.
Different power sector-based projects were discussed including the 300-MW power project in Gwadar. It is also to be noted that these projects have been completed on Pakistan’s end and are awaiting the Chinese to expedite the steps needed for the project’s completion.
The two entities were content with the progress of many projects in Gwadar e.g. New Gwadar International Airport, Pak China Friendship Hospital, etc.
