Special Technology Zones Authority To Start Work On Islamabad Technopolis
ISLAMABAD: The Special Technology Zone Authority (STZA) is going to begin its work on Islamabad Technopolis, located in Chak Shahzad’s vicinity.
As gathered by sources in STZA, the consultant of the Islamabad Technopolis project is the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK).
Sources further reveal that the 140-acre land was provided by CDA to STZA in 2021. The project area is right beside the National Institute of Health (NIH), near Chak Shahzad.
The layout plan has been developed by STZA and NESPAK collaboratively, however, the approval of the layout plan (LOP) is yet to be given by the Capital Development Authority (CDA), after which the construction will begin.
It is noted by the website of STZA that the authoritative body was made to offer institutional and legislative support to the technology industry of Pakistan. STZA aims to develop Special Technology Zones across the country and is also working towards the development of a technology-driven ecosystem.
All in all, the Authoritative body focuses on developing knowledge ecosystems that will boost the IT sector of Pakistan, thus promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in the relevant field.
