Rs1,300 Billion to be contributed by Lahore Central Business District
The foundation stone laying ceremony of Lahore Central Business District at Walton Airport took place in Lahore. Chief Minister Lahore, Mr. Usman Buzdar while addressing the ceremony said that such activities will provide employment opportunities and alleviate poverty.
CM Punjab said that the Central Business District will be completed in three phases over an area of 300 acres. The first phase will be developed over an area of 128 acres and commercial activity of around Rs1,300 billion will be generated. The first phase involves the establishment of a commercial district, the second phase involves the construction of a digital district and the third phase involves the establishment of a residential district.
Speaking to the launching ceremony he further stated that the project’s entry and exit points would be designed on the patterns of historic gates of the provincial metropolis and the high-rise buildings would depict Lahore’s rich cultural heritage.
