17 June 2020, Islamabad: Funds are allocated for various projects including development of a new residential sector (Park Enclave-III), construction of flats in sector I-9 to shift slum dwellers of sector F-6 and F-7, Construction of 7th Avenue interchange near Aabpara and rehabilitation of IJP Road.
The upcoming year will be a year of development and new construction for the residents of Islamabad. Last year the budget allocated was Rs.27 billion and Rs.12 billion has been earmarked for operations and salaries while Rs.24 billion for 65 development projects.
Rs.15 billion have been allocated for land compensation to residents whose land has been acquired in sector H-16 and I-17 a few years by CDA and a compensation amount worth around Rs.4 billion is still pending.
Development schemes worth Rs.5 billion of Public Sector Development Programmes (PSDP) is also a part of the CDA’s new budget.
