RDA Speeds Up Operation Against Illegal Construction
On orders from the Director General (DG), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has accelerated its ongoing operation against unlawful construction.
Four schools, Beaconhouse, Two Silver Oaks School Buildings, Kamal Laboratory in Civil Line Housing Scheme and Jinnah Foundation High School in Asghar Mall Scheme, were sealed as part of an operation by the RDA enforcement team, a representative claimed.
The spokesman said that during an operation against unauthorised and unlawful residential and commercial structures in the Civil Line Housing and Asghar Mall Schemes, the RDA Enforcement Squad took action against the violators in accordance with the law.
According to him, the five illegally built commercial buildings were sealed by the Enforcement Squad, which also included the Assistant Director of Building Control, Assistant Director of Land, and other individuals.
The spokesman stated that earlier warnings had been sent to the property owners, including Dr Mansoor Jan, Muhammad Yousaf, Salman Yousaf, Sadat Rashid, Asad Pervaiz Qureshi, Amir, and Amer Malik, for violating approved building plans, maps, the Punjab Development of Cities Act of 1976, and the RDA Building and Zoning Regulations of 2020.
