RDA Sets New Urban Limits & Development Strategy for Rawalpindi
Rawalpindi: The new urban limits and development plan for the next 25 years will be determined by Mott MacDonald Pakistan Company, which was hired by the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
The plan contains a variety of zones, including agricultural, residential, industrial, and green zones.
According to the specifics, the boundaries for four tehsils, housing developments, industrial regions, and central business districts have been defined in cooperation with the local administration.
It is pertinent to state that agriculture and the environment will be allowed in the areas outside of the site development zones.
The assistant commissioners of the four tehsils have also been given access to the proposed maps for discussion with local stakeholders and the general public.
The public may evaluate the peri-urban structure plan on the RDA website, and they have ten days to contact the assistant commissioners and director town planner Mohammad Tahir Meo with any concerns they may have about the proposal.
