Rawalpindi: An anti-dengue day was held in conjunction with the Anti-Dengue awareness campaign on the instruction of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa.
The Health Department assisted in cleaning and spraying the roofs of the RDA and WASA offices. He gave MD WASA the order to check the tube-wells on an immediate basis. In order to stop dengue larvae from reproducing, any water leaks should be rectified immediately.
According to the Director General RDA, residents should prioritise cleaning and exercise extra caution to prevent water from accumulating in nooks and crannies of the home, especially to keep a watch on plant pots and water coolers.
He suggested that everyone regularly apply insect repellent spray. He instructed the RDA officers and representatives to take action to stop the spread of dengue within the office complex.
He claimed that after inspecting the drainage system, there should be no areas with standing water.
