Rawalpindi Ring Road Project – Only Government Construction Companies Eligible For Contract Bid
Rawalpindi: Authorities have stated that the work on Rawalpindi Ring Road will be carried out at the beginning of April. Furthermore, it was decided that development contracts for RR will be provided to government construction companies only.
Sources have reported that it will be compulsory for the contractor company to complete the project on time. Only three governmental construction companies will be participating in the bidding of the Ring Road Project: FWO, NC, and NLC.
The public announcement of the project will be held on the 29th of March by the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA).
After the project acceptance by ECNEC, the in-depth designing of the Ring Road will be done by a NESPAK consultant. The bidding will be conducted starting from Rs 23 billion.
The 38km-long road is said to be completed in two years. The Ring Road will start from Bandh (near Rawat GT Road) and end at Thaliyan.
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chief Engineer Habibullah Randhawa stated that RDA will ensure timely completion and quality construction of the project. He further added that the project will be completed in two years once the contract is awarded.
