CDA to Expedite Work on Rawal Dam Interchange
Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Aamer Ali Ahmed, gave Frontier Works Organization (FWO) instructions on Wednesday to expedite work on the Rawal Dam Interchange Project for the benefit of commuters.
During his visit to the project site, the chairman of the authority gave the instructions after carefully inspecting the construction activity.
FWO representatives gave the CDA chairman an update on the project’s status and explained that both interchange ramps were being built fast, with one ramp’s filling work having been finished and the second ramp’s subgrade work still in progress.
Even though additional steps had been taken to guarantee that construction could continue throughout the monsoon rains, the CDA chairman insisted that the job’s quality had not been sacrificed.
The Rawal Dam Interchange project, which FWO is now working on, was supposed to be finished one month earlier than the specified timeframe. The project’s committed delivery date was October 2022.
An underpass, an overhead bridge, a few slip roads, and an underpass linking to Margalla Town are all included in the project.
