Punjab govt increases budgetary allocation for urban development
LAHORE: The Punjab government has increased the budgetary allocation for under development from Rs26.20bn to Rs34.015bn under the Fiscal Year 2021-22.
Out of the total budgetary allocation for urban development, Rs3.966bn has been allocated exclusively for South Punjab while the rest of the amount is for the urban development of other areas of Punjab.
According to the details, Rs21.507bn will be spent on the ongoing projects in Punjab while the remaining amount will be spent on new projects.
Similarly, Rs1.877bn will be spent on finalising ongoing projects in South Punjab whereas Rs2.089bn will be spent on the development of new projects.
