The Punjab government has decided to utilize three government rest houses for tourism purposes. On the MoU signing ceremony in Lahore, Punjab Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has received the official rest houses from the Ministry of Irrigation.
On this occasion, the memorandum of understanding was signed by PTDC General Manager (Operations) Asim Raza and Irrigation Chief Engineer Sheikh Moinuddin. The ceremony was also attended by Punjab Irrigation Minister Sardar Mohsin Khan Leghari and Adviser to CM on Tourism Asif Mehmood.
The initiative has been taken in an effort to promote tourism and provide more recreational facilities to the people across the country. Addressing the media, Mohsin Khan Leghari has applauded the efforts of the government at handing over the rest houses of the irrigation department to PTDC. Adviser to the CM on Tourism Asif Mehmood also admired the commitment of the irrigation department for the upgrade of tourism activities.
