PM urges provinces to avail incentives offered for construction sector
Prime Minister Imran Khan is optimistic about the provinces’ approach that they will optimally avail the incentives offered for the construction sector.
Prime minister while addressing the National Coordination Committee (NCC) said that the construction sector holds a massive potential to boost the economy and creates employment opportunities for the people living in this country. He further stated that during the urban development and construction activities we should not forget our responsibility towards the environment and need to protect it.
The meeting was informed about the development initiatives undertaken by different provinces in their respective regions. The Capital Development Authority Development (CDA) Chairman briefed the PM about the construction happening in the E-11 sector and the separate rules developed for it.
KP Secretary also briefed about the Rs242 billion worth development projects for the fiscal year 2021 of which Rs61 billion had been released in 2020.
The meeting was also briefed by the Chief Secretary Sindh about the construction-related projects development. The status of land purchase issues and the Naya Pakistan Housing Development Authority projects were also discussed in the meeting.
