PM Imran Khan launches Ravi Urban Development Project worth Rs 5 Trillion to Revive Lahore City

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Friday, announced to launch the Ravi Urban Development Project worth Rs 5 trillion to solve Lahore’s rising civic problems including shortage of water, pollution, and sewerage. the project was termed vital to save the historical city from environmental challenges resulting due to unplanned settlements.
The premier said the project would be the second-largest planned city in Pakistan after Islamabad. Imran Khan regretted that the River Ravi that once traversed through the city, eventually shrunk into a sewerage nullah over the years.
