New Housing Project to be Established for Journalists
Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan stated that a housing project will be established for the members of the Kashmir Journalist Forum (KJF) within 45 days. Speaking to media on Sunday, the PM noted that the project’s first phase had land designated in Kotli, where plots will be distributed to KJF members in accordance with their membership categories.
He announced that the project’s ground-breaking would take place soon. Land will be allocated in Islamabad and Muzaffarabad in the second and third phases, the PM said, adding that the decision would be made after proper consultations with members of the forum, which is made up of Kashmiri journalists based in Islamabad.
The prime minister claimed that the government was slavishly trying to raise peoples’ standards of living by giving them access to necessities. referring to Muzaffarabad’s introduction of the Pink Bus service. —APP
