LDA Seals over One Dozen Buildings in Lahore
Lahore: Over a dozen structures have been demolished or sealed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) as part of an operation against bylaw violations and unlawful commercialisation in Johar Town, Wapda Town, OPF Scheme, and PIA Colony.
With the aid of heavy equipment and police, the operation was carried out by Director Town Planning IV Ali Nusrat.
In Johar Town and surrounding communities, LDA teams dismantled shutters, sealed many properties, and removed illegal construction and alterations.
The LDA team tore down unlawfully built buildings on 180F and 181F in PIA Colony, shades of a tea shop on 3R, shops next to Al-Barkat Pharmacy, 528J and 529J, 336G and 461G3, marki on plot 53 and 53 A in F2, and stores on 432E and 1005E in Johar Town.
Properties on plots 13 and 14 in Block E, plot 78C in Wapda Town, and plot 276C in OPF Scheme were sealed by the LDA team.
Several notices were delivered to owners prior to the operation, according to LDA officials.
It is pertinent to state that the LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa has ordered on-going, indiscriminate operations against illegal business usage and construction bylaw violations.
