LDA Seals 60 Shops During Major Operation
Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out a major operation and sealed about 60 shops in the Johar Town area in accordance with the Lahore High Court’s directives.
The activity took place on Abdul Hai Road. Along with the LDA team, which was led by its Director Sidra Moazzam, large police contingents were present during the operation.
The LDA crew blocked about 60 shops on G1 Road after inspecting them for encroachments, illegal commercialisation, and lack of parking. The commercial establishments that have been shut off, such as stores for a number of well-known brands, banks, bakeries, restaurants, food kiosks, etc.
According to LDA authorities, the operation was started after issuing numerous notices and warnings, and in the first phase, Johar Town G-One Road and Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town were transformed into model roadways in every way.
According to the recently appointed Chief Town Planner (CTP), Asad Zaman, violations of parking lot laws and unlawful commercialization will not be permitted. He warned that individuals who do not cease the encroachments will be prosecuted.
