KP Govt. approves Rs7 billion for the construction of bridge between Torghar and Peshawar
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved Rs7 billion for the construction of a bridge between Torghar and Peshawar. The bridge would reduce the travel time between Torghar and Peshawar by half.
The chairman District Development Advisory Committee Torghar MPA Laiq Mohammad Khan said that the bridge would be constructed on River Indus in Kotkay area and would connect union councils with the rest of the district and provide an access route to many people who are using boats now.
He further said that the different mega communications projects are in the pipeline which would be launched soon.
Torghar was an undeveloped area before it got the status of district in 2011 and such mega development projects would bring it on equal status with other districts in Hazara Division and rest of the province.
