KP Government Reveals First-Ever Land Use Plans for 6 Key Districts
Peshawar: By releasing the first-ever Land Use Plans for 6 important districts, the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has achieved a critical milestone towards responsible land management and sustainable development.
Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Abbottabad, and Swabi are the districts covered by these plans; all of these areas have been battling the difficulties brought on by fast urbanisation and growth.
This ground-breaking move, according to sources, is a result of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Land Use and Building Control Act 2021, which aims to ensure the wise use of land and its priceless resources.
Prioritising the wise use of land resources is the main goal of these land use plans. The government hopes to encourage regional growth that is sustainable by doing this.
The Land Use and Building Control Council has approved these proposals after subjecting them to a rigorous examination process, highlighting their relevance and adherence to legal requirements.
This accomplishment, in the opinion of experts, illustrates the government’s forward-thinking strategy for resolving the problems caused by urbanisation and development while preserving its priceless land resources.
