Khayaban-I-Iqbal To Have Two Interchanges To Adapt To The Expanding Traffic
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) ‘s design wing will assemble the two interchanges at E-11 Chowk. As the CDA board, Shaheen Chowk will take up the consultant company’s confirmation for these interchanges in its meeting on Thursday.
Khayaban-I-Iqbal, which is wrongly known as Margalla Road, is perhaps the most active road in Islamabad. Because of schools, colleges, and government offices, it faces traffic jams on a daily basis close to Shaheen Chowk.
In E-11, which has turned into another business center, especially in developing wedding marquees and apartment complexes, the roads also face extensive traffic trouble.
The authorities said work on Margalla Road was in progress and would ideally be finished in the current financial year and would be connected with Khyaban-I-Iqbal from Sangjani.
The development work was granted to the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The CDA partitioned the undertaking into three stages.
In the primary stage, a piece of the road will be built from G.T. Road to Sangjani. In the second, the Bhara Kahu bypass would be built. Later on, the third stage from Sangjani to Constitution Avenue will be taken up.
This project will help residents of the capital city, Bhara Kahu, Murree, Abbottabad, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir.
