Islamabad to Undergo Changes as CDA Launches Major Projects
Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Noor ul Amin Mengal recently unveiled ground-breaking intentions to transform Islamabad in a tweet from his official Twitter account.
A number of initiatives were highlighted in the announcement, including the long overdue removal of solid waste from the Islamabad Expressway, the installation of service lanes on both sides of the IJP, the construction of eight pedestrian bridges and the upcoming start of an electric bus service.
The removal of solid waste along the IJP, a project abandoned for many years, demonstrates CDA’s dedication to improving the cleanliness and allure of the capital city.
With this project, Chairman Mengal hopes to address the ongoing problem of waste accumulation and create a healthier and more beautiful environment.
Additionally, the CDA’s intention to add service lanes on both sides of the IJP shows that it is taking proactive measures to enhance traffic management and guarantee a smoother flow of traffic.
Furthermore, to improve pedestrian convenience and safety, the CDA will also build eight pedestrian bridges over key locations along the IJP. These bridges will improve the city’s overall urban infrastructure while facilitating pedestrian mobility.
Chairman Mengal also announced the impending introduction of an electric bus service, due to begin operations by June, in a significant step towards sustainable transportation.
