The Punjab Government has authorized Rural Development Projects worth Rs86 billion to promote progress and development of the rural tehsils.
In a review meeting of Punjab Rural Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Project of the Planning, the progress and transparency of the development projects were carried out under the presidency of Noorul Amin Mengal, Secretary Local Government and Community Development (LG&CD).
The LG&CD secretary said that a third-party audit of the infrastructure projects’ quality would be conducted by the steering committee formed by the government to ensure the timely completion of the project and preclude corruption.
The government is dedicated to uplift the standard of poverty-stricken tehsil and in the attempt Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar, directed the concerned quarters to expedite their work. This would encourage the departments to speed up their work.
