Federal government earmarks Rs87bn for CPEC projects
ISLAMABAD: Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning and Development has informed that the federal government has earmarked Rs87bn for the development of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
According to the details, the National Economic Council (NEC) has given a go-ahead to the development of the Mainline-1 (ML-1) project at the cost of Rs6.2bn and Rs42bn for Western Alignment at Rs42bn.
Speaking on the occasion, the federal minister said that the uplift projects worth Rs240bn have also been approved under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The minister was also apprised that the government is going to lay road infrastructure of 3261kms in the country.
