Dubai Land Department and RERA Introduce Smart Service to Combat False Real Estate Ads
Dubai: The Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) and Dubai Land Department (DLD) recently unveiled Madmoun, a new smart technology designed to spot false real estate listings.
People can now verify the legitimacy of real estate advertisements and access all pertinent information, including the terms and conditions of the property, on the DLD’s website by scanning a QR code.
All real estate firms must start using QR codes as of April 24 in their print and audio-visual advertisements. They must also get a QR code for each real estate ad permit via DLD’s Trakheesi system.
According to Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA at DLD, Madmoun is in line with the organization’s objective of using technology to elevate Dubai as a major international centre for real estate investment.
This new service helps the development of real estate goods and is consistent with Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33,’ which intends to strengthen Dubai’s position as a hub for the digital economy by fostering economic growth through digital transformation.
