Punjab Chief Minister: 3 Districts And 2 Tehsils To Be Developed In Punjab

Lahore: On Thursday 31st March 2022, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar revealed that an in-principle approval has been given for the creation of 3 districts and 2 Tehsils in the Punjab province.

Amidst an informal meeting with journalists, the Chief Minister stated that Lahore is going to be divided into two districts for efficient governance.

He further added that Murree and tehsil Taunsa Sharif will be declared districts. Moreover, two additional tehsils will be created in Rawalpindi.

A committee has been established for this purpose which has announced its recommendations. A 20pc quota in nursing colleges will also be given to girls belonging to underdeveloped areas to increase employment opportunities for them.
