Multan: Director general of Multan Development Authority (MDA), Zahid Ikram, has directed officials to take stern action against unlawful commercialisation and unapproved housing plans.
Sources claim that he has also requested for the collection of information regarding illicit marketing and unlicensed housing developments.
An official operation against illegal commercialisation has been started in response to this direction, and the lists of illegal housing plans are being updated.
According to the spokesman, MDA is treating this matter seriously and will not put up with unauthorised home developments or unlawful commercial structures within its supervision.
Furthermore, the mafia responsible for these illegal housing schemes has been ordered to face stern action by the directors of town planning and urban planning.
In accordance with commercialisation, MDA has already given a challan for Rs. 8.19 million to a private hotel on Mauza Sher Shah Multan Bypass Road.
The crackdown is anticipated to last until all unauthorised residential developments and business works are stopped.
The MDA is devoted to safeguarding the safety and wellbeing of its citizens, according to the officials, and will take all necessary steps to accomplish this.
