Development Projects Worth Rs 30 Billion Approved- PDWP
PESHAWAR: On Tuesday, a meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah. The party approved development projects valued at approximately Rs. 30.602 billion.
Accumulatively, 27 projects were accepted including the following sectors- Higher education, health, sports, tourism, social welfare, communication and works, Auqaf, home, and public health engineering departments.
Moreover, approvals for developments in South Waziristan were also given including the establishment of an education city, roadbuilding to Chalghoza Forest, blacktopping, and construction of roads.
The development schemes also entail the building of flood protection walls, allocation of viability gap funds, and utility shifting.
Numerous development projects are being established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well e.g. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa University of Technology; hockey turf in Buner, Swabi, and Malakand; construction of Zamung Kor in Swat, renewal of roads and bypasses, etc.
The meeting also approved the construction of a central police office in Peshawar, sanitation schemes in the Charsadda district, and a purpose-built structure at Gajju Khan Medical College in Swabi.
