CDA set to launch bus service for residents
ISLAMABAD: To diminish the commuting issues in the capital, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to launch a bus service in Islamabad.
As per the media reports, the decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chairman CDA, Amer Ahmed Ali on Tuesday.
The transport service will be named as ‘Islamabad Bus Service’ which will run on various routes in the city after getting a green signal from the federal cabinet.
In the initial phase, 30 buses will be launched which will comprise dedicated spaces for special people and women.
Furthermore, the development authority will also develop parking areas, depots, and signboards. The signboards will allow CDA to collect revenue.
