Islamabad: In order to give residents greater recreational facilities, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to build a number of new contemporary parks in the nation’s capital.
According to official CDA sources, “the civic authority has already created about 37 public parks in the federal capital over the last ten years and is working on a policy to increase their number in the coming years.” It is pertinent to state that after the codal requirements are through, it will take three to four months to develop a new park.
It was further revealed that at the time, there were six amusement parks in the federal capital, which was thought to be sufficient to meet Islamabad residents’ recreational needs.
According to the sources, the CDA was creating a number of new sectors, including I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave.
The sources also stated that Model Villages and parks were being created in the aforementioned regions. “As and when these areas are developed and completed, the new parks will be there to meet the demand and requirement of the general public as per CDA approved layout plan,” he continued.
