CDA Forms Four High-Powered Committees to Solve Citizens Issues
Islamabad: Four powerful committees were established by city management with the goal of resolving problems faced by residents, investors, and builders.
The four committees—the Monitoring Committee for Sector Development, the Monitoring Committee for High-rise Projects, the Monitoring Committee for Housing Schemes, and the Rehabilitation Committee—will convene once each month.
The sector development committee is chaired by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman and includes representatives from engineering, planning, estates, the director general of works, and other departments, according to a notification dated March 17.
The committee will keep tabs on, investigate, and make decisions on matters pertaining to the development of the Zone I and Zone II sectors.
It is pertinent to state that CDA has begun development works in at least five sectors – E-12, I-12, C-14, C-15.
According to a CDA representative, Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal decided to create the committees as a result of the daily complaints he received from investors, developers, and civilians.
The representative stated that the chairman would oversee the committees to address the ongoing problems. He asserted that within a few months, all legitimate issues would be settled through committees.
