CDA Ensures Completion of Ongoing Work on Development Projects by Mid-Year
Islamabad: The ongoing construction projects in Islamabad would be finished by June and July of this year, according to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Captain (R) Noorul Amin Mengal.
It is pertinent to state that Margalla Avenue, IJ Principal Road, and the Bara Kahu Bypass are among the projects scheduled for completion.
Furthermore, CDA chairman said during a news conference that the CDA’s management would prioritise guaranteeing the C sectors’ high-quality growth.
Mengal emphasised the value of public and national parks and other green spaces as federal capital assets. He also announced that a Green Fund had been established to preserve Islamabad’s environmentally friendly culture.
Adding to that, every development project must set aside at least a fraction of its budget for this fund as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations.
The CDA board also resolved to file a review appeal with the Supreme Court on the construction of an international cricket stadium and a five-star hotel close to Garden Avenue.
Mengal added that hosting open kutcheries had been beneficial in addressing a variety of problems.
