CDA Demolishes Around 100 Houses in Islamabad’s F-11 Sector
Islamabad: On Sunday, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) demolished about 100 homes and other buildings in Bheka Syedan F-11.
The area is in sector F-11, directly in front of the markaz, but the CDA was unable to clear it for a number of reasons, including citizens’ claims that their compensation cases were still pending.
According to officials, the CDA has been trying since 2011 to take ownership of the aforementioned area, but has been unable to do so owing to litigation.
They said that the municipal organisation recently cleared out some stays; as a result, it carried out activities to clear the region.
According to CDA authorities, approximately 100 original allottees also brought legal actions against the CDA for obtaining plots in the interim.
To this end, the CDA first carried out an operation on Wednesday on a limited scale, and on Sunday, the action was carried out on a major scale with the demolition of some 100 homes and other buildings.
The houses were demolished using large machinery by CDA with the assistance of the police and local government.
