Capital Development Authority To Improve Road Infrastructure In Sector I-14.
8 July 2020, Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is all set to improve road infrastructure in Sector I-14. The bids are operational for the project and the NIT cost of the project is Rs.8.126 million, however, the lowest bid amount is Rs.4.656 million received which is around about 47.4% below the NIT cost.
The project will consist of repair and maintenance of the damaged portions of the streets and roads of I-14. The initiative is a part of the construction strategy of the incumbent CDA administration to develop and construct neglected sectors to uplift infrastructure.
Citizens are constructing their houses on the plots to uplift infrastructure in the sector which was direly needed. Realizing the needs of the residents of the sector, incumbent management of the authority decided to undertake required development work in the sector I-14.
This initiative of existing roads and streets in all sub-sectors of Sector I-14 will be repaired and improved for the facilitation of the residents.
The budget approved earlier by incumbent management was Rs.210.552 million in January for supplying gas to remaining areas of sector I-14. CDA-Development Working Party in its 45th meeting held in October last year had approved the project concept I (PC-I) of Rs3112.162 million for the development of Sector I-14.
