The Capital Development Authority (CDA) board took major decisions to build 4,400 low-cost housing units for the displaced persons of Katchi Abadis and the beneficiaries of Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority thorough auction.
The CDA board held a meeting with Chairman Amer Ali in the chair and agreed to construct the apartments in Alipur Farash. Similarly, it was decided to form a first-ever Metropolitan Police to assist citizens and tourists at public places, including parks and other tourist spots.
It was decided in the meeting that the Margalla Avenue, I.J.P Road and the proposed 10th Avenue will be constructed through the Ministry of Defence’s Frontier Works Organization (FWO) or the National Logistics Cell (NLC).
The CDA board comprised executive and non-executive members. The services of non-executive members will be taken for the development of the city. Services of architects Dada and Ali Asghar will be taken for the construction purpose and uplifting of F-9 park. Also, expertise of poet Iftikhar Arif and the vice chancellor will be utilised for the promotion of culture and education activities.
