IT Minister inaugurates Amazon Software Technology Park at Amazon Outlet Mall
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Mr. Syed Amin-ul-Haque, inaugurated IMARAT Group’s Amazon Software Technology Park located in the Amazon Outlet Mall, G.T. Road.
The attendees of the event included the Higher management of the IMARAT Group, including Chairman of IMARAT Group Mr. Shafiq Akbar, Group Directors, Mr. Farhan Javed, Mr. E. Sharjeel, Mr. Arslan Javed, and Mr. Taimoor Abbasi, along with officials from the National Information Technology Board (NITB), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Chairman Bar Council Mr. Qazi Ali, FIA Additional Director Mr. Chaudhry Rauf, ADC Rawalpindi Abdullah Mehmood, and other relevant officials.
While addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication Mr. Syed Amin-ul-Haque said, “This establishment of the Amazon Software Technology Park reaping full potential and ensuring the growth of the majority of the youth of Pakistan. This type of collaboration between private and governmental actors is much needed for the growth of the I.T. industry across Pakistan.”
Celebrating this achievement, Chairman IMARAT Group said, “Establishing Amazon Software Technology Park fulfills the vision of the IMARAT Group of adapting technology. This will open new pathways towards initiating a digitally sound real estate sector with transparent transactions.”
The technology park, established on the upper top three floors of the mall, covers 37,470 sq. ft. and strives to bring in professionals from the industry to work towards boosting Pakistan’s technology sector.
