Developmental work on Faisalabad’s Allama Iqbal SEZ is in full swing
China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that the uplift work on Faislabad’s Allama Iqbal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is in full swing.
As per the tweet shared by the CPEC Chairman the total saleable land accounts 2276 acres of which 182 acres have already been purchased by foreign investors.
The Allama Iqbal Industrial City (AIIC) is the largest among SEZs in terms of area with 3,217 acres.
The SEZs hold a massive potential to attract foreign direct investments (FDI) and employment generation.
In CPEC total nine SEZs zones are planned including the three SEZs in Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Dhaebji SEZ, Allama Iqbal Industrial City, and Rashakai Economic Zone.
