Islamabad: To promote tourism in Gandhara, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have teamed up to build the Sikandar-e-Azam road.
The 20-kilometer collaborative road project between CDA and the KP government is anticipated to be finished in four months, according to specifics.
It is pertinent to state that it would take around six months to carpet Margalla Hills road.
The KP government would be in charge of finishing the remaining portion of the Sikandar-e-Azam road until Khanpur, while the CDA authority will pave the 7.5 km route from the Margalla Motorway to the village of Kainthla via Shah Allah Dita.
The project’s completion will also result in the future’s quickest route between Islamabad and Haripur, saving both time and fuel.
Furthermore, this construction will also cut the travel time to Khanpur Lake by 30 minutes.
The project was being worked on by the National Highway Authority (NHA) and Frontier Works Organisation (FWO).
